Long Week End

In Canada we have Canada day on Friday July 1, Ohh Canadaa.

Canada’s 144th birthday.

Canada Day (French: Fête du Canada), formerly Dominion Day (French: Le Jour de la Confédération), is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act (today called the Constitution Act, 1867), which united three British colonies into a single country, called Canada, within the British Empire.[1][2][3] Originally called Dominion Day, the name was changed in 1982, the year that Canada gained full independence from the United Kingdom. Canada Day observances take place throughout Canada as well as internationally.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

In the U.S.A on Monday July 4 we have Independence Day,

Aparagus a Cancer Cure?

There is documentation that aparagus has cured cancer..

Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth.. For that reason,  asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic. In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used , is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body’s most potent anti-carcinogens and antioxidants.

Asparagus costs about $2 a pound.

Method of treatment is to cook the asparagus

and purate it. Use 3 table spoons twice a day.

Keep the mixture refridgerated until used.

Good results have been reported in 2 to 3 months.

It is sugested to monitor your situation with

your family doctor.

I am trying this myself.

Social SEO Media Shift

I had an  e-mail from my friend Matt Carter one of the most prominent webmasters. His information is always excellent.

Tom Rozof, the presenter, explained in detail how to build online
businesses in such a way that positions them to dominate their niches.

Google has, and is continuing to, change the way they rank pages,
and social media is one of the biggest factors they are looking at.

Don’t think you can rely on backlinks alone to win the SEO game, as
although backlinks still do, and will for some time, play a major role
in rankings, in isolation they will not be enough.

For example, as Tom mentioned in the webinar, Google is starting to
look at sites that are ranking at the top of the results, and if they
don’t see any social links from Facebook, Twitter, Google +1 etc….
coming into these sites, then it looks very suspicious, and rightly so….

…think about it, if a site got to the top of Google by getting natural links,
which is what Google wants, then surely that site would also be getting
some mention in the social networks….you need a presence in the social sites!!

NOW is the time to position your sites properly in the social networks,
otherwise as Google makes more and more changes, you will find it difficult
to rank well.

All of this and more is explained in this webinar. Tom also explains his outstanding
tool his technology company has developed, that manages all this social media
for you on virtual auto-pilot…it’s an incredible thing indeed.By the way, I once again went into bat for you and negotiated a big discount
on this tool for you, as I can get away with this kind of bargaining more these days,
kind of like Groupon in a way, so make the most of the deal while it lasts.

I encourage you to watch the replay now, here’s the link:

Have a great day!

Wine Making

Another hobby on my to do list is wine making.

The information below was found on Wickipedia.

 Home Winemaking

As with the rise of brewing one’s own beer, many people have taken on the rewarding hobby of amateur winemaking. Winemaking equipment can be purchased from homebrew and wine shops for around $100, and winemaking kits derived from fruit juice concentrates range from $70–$200, depending on the varietal and region of the grape. These kits will make about 24 bottles of wine, at a price of about $3–$8 per bottle.[citation needed] Juices can be purchased in six gallon pails for forty five to sixty dollars a pail. Five pound bags of sugar can cost several dollars and yeast for about one dollar. Five gallon glass jugs can cost about thirty dollars along with a stopper and air lock.

Winemaking, or vinification, is the production of wine, starting with selection of the grapes or other produce and ending with bottling the finished wine. Although most wine is made from grapes, it may also be made from other fruit or non-toxic plant material. Mead is a wine that is made with honey being the primary ingredient after water.

Winemaking can be divided into two general categories: still wine production (without carbonation) and sparkling wine production (with carbonation).

The science of wine and winemaking is known as oenology. A person who makes wine is traditionally called a winemaker or vintner.

Industry and Automation

Over the last few years there has been a loss

of good paying jobs due to outsourcing.

Some of the large companies have found

that there are more benefits to keeping jobs

in North America.

The new jobs as of late have been part time work

and the start up of more small businesses.

In order to be more competative, more automation

could be the answer to creating good paying jobs.

Some of the electronic magazines that I am

subscribed to, in this field are listed.

What Does a Machine Builder Have to Do to Stay Competitive?‏

A Handle on Better Packaging
If a machine builder wants to remain competitive in a global market, then updating controls, motion, data processing, software and/or networking functions to provide more flexibility, improved speed and reduced costs is a necessity at some point. PakTech in Eugene, Ore., manufactures handles that bundle two to 12 containers or large single bottles, and builds the machines that apply its handles at high speeds. PakTech stays competitive, adapts to changing requirements, and quickly brings new products to market. However, the company determinedthat its machines also needed more flexible and affordable controls. Read more »

Stop Peeing so often.

I have a problem of peeing too often.

This problem is caused by not emptying the blader totally. Apparently this is a fairly common problem with men and women.

In my case I had a bladder infection as well, which is being treated with antibiotics and ground flax seed.

There are many solutions found in health food stores for this problem. They usually cost about $25 for a bottle of pills and may not be too effective.

Watching the Dr. Oz show, a recommendation was found by using ground flax seed works. This can be found in bulk food stores and only cost about $1.18 a pound. Apparenly it coats the bladder for better elimination.

It is suggested to sprinkle some on your breakfast cerial.

It shoud be stored in a refridgerator or it might go mouldy.

I am going to try it.

I would be happy to hear of other peoples results.

More abou the benefits of flax seed.

I received the following information from my friend Patty.

Heart Attack & Water

Something I didn’t know either!  I asked my Doctor why do I and other people urinate so much at night time.
Answer from my Cardiac Doctor:

Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright.

When you lie down, the lower body (legs and other things) seeks level with the kidneys.

It is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier.

This then ties in with the last statement!

I knew you needed your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body,

but this was news to me.

Correct time to drink water? … very important …

From A Cardiac Specialist!:

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

– 2 glasses of water after waking up helps activate internal organs

– 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal helps digestion

– 1 glass of water before taking a bath helps lower blood pressure

– 1 glass of water before going to bed avoids stroke or heart attack

Please pass this to the people you care about…

I can also add to this … My Physician told me that water at bed time will

also help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seeking hydration

when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.
